For all IACE/GPTC/PPTC applicants, attached is the Review Board Interview Guide and updated Review Board Schedule. If you have any conflicts, contact the squadron inbox ASAP.

Final Tips for your Interviews:

  1. Relax! The interviewers are not there to judge you. Their role is to understand who you are as a person and how you have contributed to the Air Cadet Program.

  2. Body Posture - first impressions are everything! Be confident in what you're saying. Look at your interviewers and please do no read off your screen. We can easily tell when people are reading off a script.

  3. You are given the questions beforehand. If you're unfamiliar with the topic, search it up. There's no reason for you to "not understand the question". Please do not ask the interviewers on what to talk about because it shows you are not prepared and showing a lack of understanding of a question will lose you points.

  4. Be brief in your main topics and expand as much as you can! The interviewers don't know who you are, so you need to give them some context of your background and the people you are associated with.

  5. There's always 3 parts to a question: WHAT are they asking about? WHY are they asking about it? HOW are you dealing with a particular situation? If they're asking about challenges, identify a challenge and propose a solution. It's the same concept as being a Senior NCO. Identify and Solve.

  6. You have 20 minutes to prepare. That is more than enough time to jot down 2-3 main points and put in point form the content you want to talk about. Try to write notes down in order so you don't lose track of your thoughts.

  7. Be passionate about what you talk about. IACE/GPTC/PPTC are prestigious courses that change lives. And if you don't show a good sense of motivation and passion to meet this goal, the interviewers won't bother

If you want to be successful, prepare as much as you can. Interviewers can tell if you have prepared or not. Don't waste this opportunity as it also reflects back on the squadron.

If you have any more questions, send an email to the squadron inbox. Good Luck!
