The 692 Royal Canadian Air Cadet Squadron was originally founded in 1956 under the name of 692 Air Canada RCACS. In 2008, we formed a new partnership with BCIT Aerospace Campus. With their sponsorship, we changed our name to 692 BCIT Aerospace RCACS.

Our squadron is run by uniformed CAF officers and civilians who help with the day-to-day operations within the squadron. We do not work full time with cadets; our officers have full -time civilian jobs and are willingly supporting cadet training on their free time.
