March FTX Sign Up

The first 692 squadron-wide FTX is here! The FTX will take place from Friday, March 1st @1600h - Sunday, March 3rd @1300h PST. (3 days, 2 nights)

What is an FTX?

Short for “Field Training Exercise,” an FTX is an overnight activity you cannot find anywhere other than cadets. Cadets will learn necessary survival skills from multiple mandatory and compulsory classes that cannot be taught at BCIT on Thursday evenings. Lessons and activities ranging from building a shelter, collecting safe to-drink water, building a fire and signal fire will be one of the many lessons taught at the FTX!

Attending an FTX is important as teaching the lessons in BCIT is impossible. Additionally, the weekend is packed with fun activities that you cannot miss out on!

All cadets must attend at least one overnight FTX during the training year to pass their proficiency level but are encouraged to attend every FTX opportunity.  

A kit list is provided in the resources tab for what to pack. Pack for the weather as we will be going outside rain or shine. Transportation from BCIT to the site will be provided by the squadron.
