Summer Training

What is cadet summer camp?

Cadet Summer Camp is an optional, but recommended, extension of learning that occurs in the summer and is separate from the regular cadet year. Cadets learn specific skillsets at these camps, typically starting with local basic courses followed by advanced instructor courses across Canada!.

Advanced Training as a Staff Cadet is also available once a cadet reaches Level 4. By becoming a staff cadet, cadets are employed by Cadets Canada to be instructors and supervisors for the summer camps! This is a great opportunity for cadets to acquire experience in working a real job.

Summer camp is an AMAZING opportunity to meet cadets from all elments across the province/ country, which does not happen with other programs. Cadets live together on a training base for a period of time while learning and working with each other. It is one of the major highlights of the cadet program; cadets who have gone through the program have consistently considered cadet summer camp as their fondest memory.
